Jewish Wedding at Sixth & I

I recently finished a wedding video that was jam packed with so many of my favorite things - Sixth & I, Elegance & Simplicity, Tom Van Veen, of Documentary Associates, and the Decatur House. You can see from this short recap some of the highlights of the ketubah signing, the ceremony, and the reception.

The ketubah signing, bedeken and ceremony were at historic Sixth & I. It’s such a great place to have a ceremony and the chuppah was gorgeous. The flowers, provided by Elegance & Simplicity, were, if course, beautiful. Elegance & Simplicity also did the wedding planning, so everything ran on track.

The Bliss Collection 2011

I have had many opportunities in the past decade to meet a lot of wonderful wedding vendors. Brides always ask me, specifically, if I get along with their photographer. It seems like such a funny question to me, because I usually love the photographers I work with and get along great with just about everyone. For the most part, this is a pretty friendly industry.

When it comes to referrals, I have a lot of great people to choose from in nearly every category. I try to find out the bride’s tastes, budget, and concerns, and then recommend the most fitting vendors for her needs. Often, those vendors are fellow members of The Bliss Collection, Northern Virginia’s finest wedding professionals.

Jessica Pi Productions is happy to announce that we have, for the third year in a row, won the Bride’s Choice Award from Wedding Wire. That means we are in the top 5 percent of videographers in our region.

I am so pleased by this award because we earned it by being voted the best by our clients - the brides and grooms whose wedding day memories we’ve captured over the years. My goal is not to win awards, but to make my clients happy, but this award shows that that’s exactly what we have been doing, year after year.

I am speaking at TEDx Glen Echo on December 8th, 2010. The event is a women’s conference, so my presentation is about the status of women in today’s society. It’s a fairly heady topic, but I feel up to the task. I am excited to be associated with TEDx. I have enjoyed watching their programs online in the past and am happy now to be one of their future videos!

Winner - Bride’s Choice Awards 2010

Jessica Pi Productions was selected as one of the best video companies in the area in the Bride’s Choice Awards, hosted by Wedding Wire. This is the second year in a row we have made the best of list and we are so happy that area brides keep voting for our services!

The Bride’s Choice Awards recognizes the best wedding vendors - from cake makers to wedding videographers - in the WeddingWire Network. These wedding vendors have demonstrated excellent service and expertise in the wedding industry.

This is much better than all those times I was on the honor roll in High School! First of all, I really like all the other kids who made the list, and secondly, I like the selection process better. I never was very good with averages, so I prefer being hand chosen for doing something I love to do.
